  Being the artsy folk that we are, we decided to check out the St. Hilary Theatre in Fairlawn. Being new to the area, we decided to give it a try! The first thing that struck as odd was the set design. It was just blah, and the man being crucified is a distraction to what's going on on stage. It's also inappropriate to say in frony of young children, such as my twin four year old sons Lisa and Pattersberth (Lisa is VERY impressionable). The acting was just below average, but the audience participation aspect always keeps things fresh. Father Morris Goldhammer was a tough character to read, and there was little to no character development. I was unable to understand, though, how everyone knew all of the responses. I was able to catch on to the "and also with you" bit, which is actually pretty comical, but that was the only one. I even started on coming early to see if everyone was given the responses ahead of time. No such luck, though. My wife and I ended up leaving without paying. We may be back again in the future...
